Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you enrol in a course at Tester Academy, Motera, Ahmedabad (“we”, “us”). Please read them before you pay. By enrolling, you agree to them.

1. Enrolment

Your seat in a batch is confirmed when we receive your full fee or your first instalment. Batches are limited to 12 students and seats are given in the order fees are received.

Please give us accurate details when you enrol. If too few students join a batch, we may move its start date or combine it with another batch. We will tell you in advance, and if the new date does not suit you, you can have a full refund under our refund policy.

2. Fees and payment

The fee for each course is the one shown on its course page when you enrol. You can pay in full, or in 2 instalments at the higher instalment price shown on the course page. The due date of the second instalment is agreed when you enrol.

We give you a receipt for every payment. If an instalment is not paid by its due date, we may pause your classes until it is paid.

3. Attendance and conduct

Classes are held in person at our Motera centre. Please attend every class and arrive on time; regular attendance and practice are what make you job-ready. If you have to miss a class, tell your trainer, and we will help you catch up where we can.

Treat trainers and fellow students with respect. Do not record classes without your trainer’s permission. We may remove a student who harasses others, damages property or copies assessment work; in that case the fee is not refunded.

4. Certificates

When you complete your course, including its projects and assessments, you receive a Tester Academy certificate. The certificate is issued by Tester Academy. It is not a university degree or a government qualification.

Our Manual Testing, Automation Testing and Software Testing courses are aligned to the ISTQB Foundation Level syllabus. We are not affiliated with ISTQB, and the ISTQB exam is separate: you book and pay for it directly with an authorised exam provider.

5. Placement assistance

We help you prepare for and find work as a tester: résumé preparation, mock interviews and introductions to companies that are hiring testers.

We do not guarantee a job, an interview or any particular salary. Hiring decisions are made by employers, and your results depend on your own effort and performance.

6. Course materials and intellectual property

Our notes, slides, exercises, code and other course materials belong to Tester Academy or to the people who licensed them to us. You may use them for your own learning, but you may not copy, sell, share or publish them.

The project work you create is yours. We may show examples of it to future students only with your permission. The free templates on this website may be used in your own work, but please do not republish them as your own.

7. Limitation of liability

We teach every course with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about a course is limited to the fees you paid for that course, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost earnings or opportunities.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, please contact us first, and we will try to resolve it with you. If we cannot, the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat will have jurisdiction.
