Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Tester Academy, 305 & 411, North Plaza, Near 4D Square Mall, Motera, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380005 (“we”, “us”), collects through this website and in our classroom, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what you give us and what we need to answer you:

• Demo and syllabus requests: your name, WhatsApp number, the course you are interested in and, for demo bookings, your current stage and preferred class language.
• Internship applications: your name, WhatsApp number, email address, current status and a link to your résumé.
• Batch updates: your WhatsApp number.
• Students: the details we need to enrol you, record your payments, track your attendance and project work, and issue your certificate.

When you submit a form, our website also records your IP address and browser type with the submission. We use these only to block spam and abuse.

2. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry, book your free demo lecture and send you the syllabus you asked for.
• To assess your internship application and contact you about an interview.
• To run your course: scheduling, attendance, assessments, certificates and placement assistance.
• To send you batch announcements, if you subscribed to them.
• To keep our website secure and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. WhatsApp and phone communication

When you give us your number, you agree that we may call you or message you on WhatsApp about the enquiry or application you made. If you subscribe to batch updates, we send one message when a new batch opens, and nothing else.

You can stop these messages at any time by replying “STOP” or by telling us by phone or email. WhatsApp is run by Meta; messages sent through it are also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.

4. Sharing your information

We share your information only in these cases:

• Placement assistance: we share your résumé and project work with companies that are hiring testers, and only with your permission.
• Service providers: the companies that host our website and deliver our messages process your information on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
• The law: when a court, regulator or law-enforcement agency lawfully requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and application details for as long as we need them to answer and follow up on your request, and then delete them. If you enrol, we keep your student record so that we can verify your certificate in the future, and we keep payment records for as long as Indian tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your information earlier, as set out below.

6. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
• have it corrected, completed or brought up to date;
• have it erased when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it;
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example to WhatsApp messages;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you; and
• raise a grievance with us and, if we do not resolve it, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

7. Cookies

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Videos are served by YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and by Vimeo with its “do not track” setting on, and the map on our About page is served by Google Maps. The player loads only when you press play; Google or Vimeo may then set their own cookies, and Google may do so when you use the map. If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this page and the date at the top.
